The National School of Healthcare Science (NSHCS) is responsible for overseeing and supporting the implementation and ongoing delivery of training and education programmes for Healthcare Science across the UK and manages recruitment to both postgraduate and postdoctoral level training programmes. Health Education England West Midlands is host to the NSHCS and an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as National Recruitment Administrator.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the operational delivery of national recruitment activities providing comprehensive business and project administration support and leading on the management of the recruitment mailboxes, events and meetings. The post holder will be required to liaise extensively with a wide range of stakeholders across the UK and will ensure that administrative support, professional communications, processes and procedures are delivered to a high standard. This will be a varied and busy role and so the post holder must have enthusiasm and drive to provide an excellent service to stakeholders and to support the School to deliver against its objectives for national recruitment.

Able to work in a fast paced environment, the post holder must have proven administrative and project support skills and be committed to providing a quality support service, working with a high degree of professionalism and be capable of managing a very diverse workload working to tight deadlines. The ideal candidate should have an NVQ Level 3 in a related subject or equivalent experience with excellent IT and organisational skills and be capable of overseeing the workload of others. The post holder must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work independently on their own initiative with minimal supervision. The post holder must also be willing and able to travel as although based in Birmingham, there will be a requirement to travel within the health economy and nationally on occasion as part of this role.

Previous experience in a recruitment role is desirable but not essential for this post as training will be provided.

This post will be subject to a ‘pooled’ recruitment exercise. The pools that exist are as follows
