As a National Directorate, we develop and plan the implementation of key policies to enable a flexible, productive and affordable healthcare workforce and are responsible for leading on a large number of HEE Mandate deliverables and its overall key goals include:
- Improving the quality of education and training
- Recruiting and selecting people onto the undergraduate and postgraduate courses we commission
- Test, pilot, consult and create new workforce roles
DEQ is responsible for ensuring the quality of education and training through:
- A series of national projects/pilots to make widespread change to education and training delivery
- Implementation of a national quality strategy to monitor the quality of the learning experience and environment
- National medical foundation and specialty training recruitment and associated recruitment systems
- Hosting the E-learning platform for the organisation
These new and exciting Clinical Advisor posts are an opportunity for the successful candidate to lead important policy developments on key national priorities across the education and training agendas across England.
These will be a high profile roles, drawing on the expert experience and leadership of the post holder to ensure that Health Education England delivers key Mandate and Long Term Plan priorities in education. The post holder will build strong collaborative relationships with the higher education system, NHS providers and system partners to develop models for educational policy, quality and workforce development.
Clinical Advisors will work closely with key programmes across HEE and in particular the Directorate of Education and Quality.
