About the role

An opportunity has arisen in the South West Education Programme team within Health Education England for an Education Programme Officer working part time 18.75 hours per week for up to 12 months maternity cover. 

Our ideal candidate will be a be a good team player, who enjoys communicating with a wide range of people, be highly organised and have a flexible positive approach to work. The successful applicant will have a good general level of education and be able to deal with a very busy environment. You will also need to demonstrate good organisational skills and the ability to approach obstacles in a creative and constructive manner.

In the Education Programme Officer role you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative support to the GP Education Programme Team.  This will include, for example diary management, management of trainees rotations and assessments, minute taking, analysing data and collating reports, information management and in conjunction with the Accreditation Team the maintenance of internal revalidation management to support the day-to-day running of the GP team.

The postholder will deputise for the Education Programme Manager as required and appropriate and represent them at local, regional and national meetings from time to time.
