An exciting and dynamic post of Regional Talent Board Administrator been created to support the development of a ground breaking and high-profile programme of work in the Midlands and East region. The post will form the heart of the new regional talent management team, responsible for implementing and then running on a ‘business as usual basis’ the regional talent management strategy – itself is part of the national talent management strategy under which every region will have its own talent board.
The Midlands and East is the pioneer for this new way of working and the new team will provide direct support to the Regional Talent Board (RTB). The RTB has defined its vision and begun the programme of work that will deliver it. The focus is to ensure that the region ‘professionalises’ how it identifies, develops and supports staff more effectively, becoming increasingly self-sufficient when it comes to filling its key leadership positions and ensuring all staff are supported to fulfil their potential.
The post will be based in Cambridge, supporting and working with the Regional Programme Lead and Project Manager, but the post holder will also be expected to work closely with the national talent management team, colleagues in the Local and National Leadership Academies as well as Health Education England, NHS Improvement, NHS England and provider trusts and clinical commissioning groups.
The successful Regional Talent Board Administrator will demonstrate sound IT and administrative skills, high level organisational skills and the combination of flexibility and enthusiasm to learn. The post holder will work within and across a number of healthcare organisations and enjoy building contacts across the system. They will be comfortable using their initiative and working with a level of independence, and will have a high level of attention to detail. The post holder will have the opportunity to work on an exciting and fast-moving programme of work which has profile at the most senior levels nationally. They will also work with an extended team of capable, motivated and engaging colleagues and play a key role in shaping the future of leadership in the NHS.
