Health Education England (HEE) supports the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement to the patients and public of England by ensuring that the workforce of today and tomorrow has the right numbers, skills, values and behaviours, at the right time and in the right place. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to work within a team which develops data analysis, data modelling and data transformation products for trainees, trusts, trainers, educators, local and national HEE colleagues, and external NHS partners.
You will work in the Business Intelligence team helping to deliver good quality data by building and maintaining systems. You will be using a variety of technologies including SQL, SSIS and Office, together with visualisation solutions such as Tableau to deliver operational, tactical and strategic business intelligence. You will be using these tools to analyse HEE information, NHS-wide workforce data, and demographic ‘big data’. We are building a new data platform in the Microsoft Azure cloud and you will be proactive is using new technologies to create improved reporting solutions.
In addition to your technical skills, you should be able to translate complex information into actionable insight by working with performance and workforce colleagues, helping senior management track performance, monitor delivery, and plan for the future.
As a Senior Information Analyst you will work within a geographically dispersed team (Birmingham, Leicester, Cambridge) and you will be responsible for delivering a combination of bespoke BI projects and highly automated ‘business as usual’ reporting. You will work closely with developers, workforce planners, infrastructure specialists, and business domain experts to create effective, efficient solutions.
The post is fixed term to cover maternity up until January 2020.
