Health Education England East of England – National Recruitment Officer
Agenda for Change Band 5 37.5 hours per week
As part of Health Education England, the East of England core vision is to be an exemplar in advancing the quality of education and training of the whole health and care workforce, to achieve improvements in quality, safety and compassion with the care delivered to our patients. The intention is that this will be delivered through a partnership approach that is underpinned by strong governance and accountability.
Health Education England East of England Recruitment Team works with NHS organisations, Department of Health, Royal Colleges and academic institutions, to develop a health care workforce appropriate for the twenty-first century. There are in excess of 3050 doctors and dentists training in the East of England region every year. The quality of medical and dental care in hospitals and general practices depends on the quality of their postgraduate education and training. Health Education England East of England is responsible for that training and for ensuring the improved health and quality of patient care by the supply of well educated, trained and motivated doctors and dentists.
A full time temporary National Recruitment Officer will be responsible for the operational delivery of recruitment programmes in line with the national recruitment project plan, local Annual Plan, speciality specific timelines and national direction. The role requires a high level of commitment with effective time management which also involves working to tight deadlines. Working within a team the role also requires a degree of flexibility contributing to cross team working when the occasion requires. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages is required, together with experience of creating databases and spreadsheets for incorporation in reports. You should be able to demonstrate good communication skills, both verbal and written.
