An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Health Education England (HEE) Corporate Portfolio Management Office based in Blenheim House, Leeds. The Benefits Manager will support the Corporate Benefits Lead in the development and implementation of an organisational approach to benefits realisation, aligned to best management practice, consistent with DHSC and ALB approaches, and internal operating model and business processes.
Communication and interpersonal skills are key for this role as the post holder needs to work with colleagues across the organisation to implement and embed benefits management standards, policies, processes, guidance and operational ways of working within existing systems and processes at national and regional level. The Benefits Lead will deliver the plan for communicating, engaging, implementing and embedding of the approach across the organisation, and implement an operating framework for the day to day management, monitoring and reporting of benefits.
You will be managed by the Corporate Benefits Lead initially but will form part of the Corporate Portfolio Operations & Governance team longer term, implementing the benefits strategy plan and training programmes, and managing the operational oversight of benefits management, working with programmes and the performance team to report on benefits organisationally.
This role offers a great opportunity to support and develop project teams and build the organisation’s portfolio, programme and project governance, capability and improved reputation for delivering effective outcomes with tangible benefits for the NHS. This role also offers the postholder:
- access to professional development and CPD opportunities;
- membership of the Project Profession Community;
- corporate membership of the Association for Project Management; and
- career coaching and mentoring.
Although the team is predominantly Leeds based, consideration will be given to applicants whose main base is elsewhere but are flexible in attending the Leeds base as required.
