The post holder will develop and implement engagement activities and plans to support the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (GMTS) expansion work at the NHS Leadership Academy (the Academy); proud to be part of Health Education England (HEE).

GMTS is a multi-award winning fast-track graduate scheme. It is currently 7th in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers and has been in the Top Ten of The Times Top 100 list every year since 2003. It’s also ranked 7th in the Guardian’s annual survey of the top 300 most popular graduate employers. The expansion of GMTS will help to further shape the talent pipeline for future senior leaders of the NHS.

Working alongside the rest of the GMTS expansion project team, the post holder will be responsible for devising and implementing engagement plans and activity for the GMTS expansion programme. This includes all project communications, email marketing, PR, digital and social media, advertising and the development of editorial and AV content.

This also includes managing and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver engagement activities and solutions.

The post holder will work closely with the Academy’s marketing and engagement team, and other policy and programme leads, and marketing and communications leads in HEE, other Arm’s Length Bodies (ALBs) and local teams on the delivery of the GMTS expansion engagement activity.

The post holder will be based at the National Leadership Academy in Leeds or London, or one of the Local Leadership Academy offices across the country. There may be occasional local and national travel required.

For current NHS employees, this role will be offered on a secondment basis.
