Associate Dean for Staff and Associate Specialists and Trust Grade Doctors

Health Education East Midlands has responsibility for workforce development, education and training for all health care staff.
Health Education England has agreed and published a national strategy for Associate Specialist and Trust Grade doctors workforce development. Reporting to the Postgraduate Dean, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for implementing the national strategy in the East Midlands area, working with Trusts and other stakeholders to develop local solutions and interventions to support the national Strategy and the Medical Education Reform Programme. In addition there is an expectation that this role will support the wider Postgraduate Medical & Dental Education Functions at a senior level within the organisation.
To succeed in this role, you will be a practising doctor with an interest in and evidence of developing this particular staff group. In addition knowledge of issues and challenges facing Associate Specialist and Trust Grade doctors would be an advantage. The ability to function at a strategic level with highly developed interpersonal skills, leadership skills and a commitment to education are essential.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
