Programme Manager (Nursing and Midwifery) Fixed Term 12 months

Health Education England North London (HEE NL)

The Role:

The post holder will be working to support the Nursing and Midwifery workforce transformation agenda across London delivering a range of agreed Workforce Transformation Programmes.

Supported by the Deputy Head of Clinical Education Transformation and wider team, the post holder will contribute to a range of Nursing and Midwifery workforce transformation programmes, working collaboratively with stakeholders, both internally and externally, including STPs, Community Education Provider Networks (CEPN’s), Arm’s Length Bodies, Education Providers and other key partners. They will help to drive the delivery of strategy across the region and ensure the delivery of the agreed outcomes within timescales. The work will include programmes that require working with external stakeholders to deliver innovative new approaches to education, training, workforce and employment models.

While the main initial focus of the position will be around the Apprentice Nursing Associate role and supporting the rollout and integration of the new role, it is also envisaged that the post holder will also contribute to other Nursing and Midwifery priorities including Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) and General Practice Nursing (GPN) Ten Point Plan. The role will be responsible for ensuring robust programme management of the designated programmes, including the development and management of project plans, information gathering, data analysis and liaison with external organisations/stakeholders involved within the programme. Identification of any risks associated with the programme plan will be escalated through the appropriate governance systems.

The post holder will be expected to work with other clinical teams and programme leads and subject matter experts across the region.

When applying for this role applicants should, with reference to the job description and person specification, describe how they are suitable for the role in the “supporting information” section of the application form.
