The Organisation

Health Education England has responsibility for ensuring high quality education and training is provided to all health professionals including the next generation of doctors, dentists and allied health professionals. It supports the “delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement to the patients and public of England by ensuring that the workforce of today and tomorrow has the right numbers, skills, values and behaviours, at the right time and in the right place”.

To do this effectively and to ensure the best possible outcomes and experience for patients and people, we work closely with key stakeholders to ensure everything is driven by patient needs and by local healthcare providers.

The Healthcare Education Team at Health Education England is a fundamental part of the organisation, taking on the responsibility for the administrative support for recruitment, training, assessment and rotation of doctors and dentists in training across the whole of London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex, as well as sharing our expertise to support allied health professionals and the regional healthcare providers.

After a period of integration and restructuring, the team is now growing to enable us to deliver our key aims and commitments, offering support to doctors and dentists in training, the wider healthcare network and ultimately, patients.

The Role

The role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter to develop their skills and further their career.

There are multiple positions available situated in the recruitment, workforce and planning, performance and resourcing sections.

You will work across the Healthcare Education Team in an interesting and varied role, with key duties primarily focused on medical and dental functions, including supporting recruitment events, trainee doctor’s assessment processes, and administering study leave, post management,  specialty school support and projects. Liaising with a variety of stakeholders is a key part of the role, and influencing and negotiating skills are essential.

The Officer role is responsible for ensuring that the portfolio of tasks/projects across the business area is planned, managed and delivered effectively. The post holder will provide high quality administration support, including completing complex information and analysis, managing individuals, communications and stakeholder management.

You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team, within an organisation that strongly encourages professional development.

Interview are scheduled for the week commencing 30 April 2018.
