Health Education England (HEE) is offering an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic and motivated senior Information Governance Managers to join the Information Governance Team to provide senior operational leadership and direction for information governance initiatives.

The successful candidates will report to the Head of Information Governance and Data Protection and be expected to develop key relationships throughout the business. In addition, they will be able to demonstrate strong team leadership and communication skills.

We are looking for individuals with substantial knowledge and experience of information governance, privacy and records management, who will be able to efficiently execute multiple work streams to defined target deadlines, often in a challenging and busy environment with competing demands. The successful candidates must be able to build and maintain appropriate lines of communications with relevant stakeholders, must have clear oversight of costs and workflows, good problem-solving acumen and must be able to effectively report and present progress milestones to senior management at the Information Governance Steering Group (IGSG).

The successful candidates will have a proven track record in providing Information Governance advice and guidance, have highly developed communication, be able to work with the minimum of supervision and priorities tasks independently in order to meet deadlines. They will have strong experience in service improvement and be able to demonstrate an understanding of information governance, legislation and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and complex arena in order to deliver to the highest standards.

These new positions offer the chance to make a significant impact within HEE and to work with colleagues nationally, in order to improve HEEs information handling and management practices at a time of exciting change in the fields of Information Governance and Data Protection.

Should you be shortlisted for interview, you will be required to complete a 10-minute presentation of the following topic: 

“Describe the benefits of good information and privacy management, the challenges faced when good practice is not followed and consider what steps the organisation should take to overcome these challenges”

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8a with a full-time starting salary of £44,606, with a pay step increase after 5 years’ service £51,668.

These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review
