The post-holder will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering programmes of
work as a member of one of the small, newly-formed Workforce Transformation
place-based teams, working with health and care stakeholders across a defined
locality, as well as with relevant regional and national colleagues if required.

The post will work within the new North placed based team (approx.
Northumberland, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead) supporting workforce
transformation. However there will be a requirement to work closely with colleagues
from the other 3 placed based team across the North East and North Cumbria.
For Information: Placed based Teams - West (approx. West North and East
Cumbria),), Central (approx. Sunderland, South Tyneside, County Durham) and
South (Hartlepool, Teesside, Hambleton Richmondshire and Whitby).

The Programme Coordinator would be responsible for supporting the teams Locality
Manager to ensure that a portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and
delivered effectively. As the post is part of a wider team working across the North
East and North Cumbria, there will be an expectation for occasional travel to
Newcastle and possibly other parts of the region (eg Durham, Carlisle), to meet with
the wider team or attend regional events, perhaps twice per month. There is also a
requirement for the post holder to be able to drive across their designated locality in
the performance of the duties required by this role on a more regular basis, with the
expectation that this may involve an element of hot desking. There will be the
opportunity to travel to events and meetings outside of the North East and North
Cumbria.

This role will have a focus on supporting GP Practices and wider primary care with
workforce development and transformation initiatives, as defined by local, regional
and national priorities. The role will also work across the entire local health and care
system to support primary care, widening participation, new roles/advancing practice
roles and other workforce transformation initiatives. The role will be required to lead
on/coordinate different portfolios of work across the north east and north Cumbria
where consistency is required with the other three locality teams.

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 6 with a full-time starting salary of £30,401, with pay step increases as details below:

3 years: £32,525

6 years: £33,587

7 years: £34,782

8 years: £37,267
