Health Education England (HEE) exists for one reason only: to support the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement to the patients and public of England by ensuring that the workforce of today and tomorrow has the right numbers, skills, values and behaviours, at the right time and in the right place.
What will you be doing?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to our Postgraduate Dean and Director of Workforce Transformation, alongside providing support to other senior managers in the organisation as required.
What do you need?
The successful applicant will be required to provide a high-level, professional secretarial administrative and clerical support service, including producing briefings, reports, leading on administering and organising programmes of meetings and undertaking accurate minute taking, alongside managing travel and accommodation arrangements.
They will need experience on managing busy diaries and ensuring the Senior individuals are fully equipped with all briefing and information prior to Chairing or attending meetings. In addition there will be the requirement to undertake specific discreet projects at the direction of the Postgraduate Dean, Director or another senior manager. These projects will need to be undertaken with minimal supervision, whilst adhering to strict deadlines amongst a high level workload.
A key driver of the role is to create and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, including Health Education England, the wider NHS and non NHS organisations across the whole Thames Valley health community, locally and nationally. Therefore the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
In addition, they must possess excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload and multi-task a variety of demands on their time. There will also be a requirement to support and deputise for other members of the administrative team, including other PAs.
Previous experience as a Personal Assistant to a Director or equivalent level is essential, preferably within the NHS.
Interviews will be held at HEE Thames Valley’s offices on the Oxford Business Park. This is where the position is based, but there will be a requirement for occasional travel to other locations within the Thames Valley as part of the role.
