Health Education England – Thames Valley

Senior Business and Education Manager

Following the recent transformation programme, this is an exciting opportunity to join the Health Education England, Thames Valley senior team supporting Postgraduate Medical & Dental Education on a secondment basis for 12 months in the first instance.

The Senior Business and Education Manager will work predominantly within the PGMDE function within the Thames Valley Local Office. The role will also support sub-regional working across Thames Valley and Wessex. In addition, as a senior manager, the postholder will be expected to contribute to the multi-professional nature of the business of HEE across Thames Valley and Wessex as well as the South region as appropriate.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Postgraduate Dean and Local Director and will have relevant experience of managing change and developing teams; developing strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders; capable of complex systems analysis, and have a comprehensive understanding of PGMDE functions.

The postholder will effectively manage changing priorities, adapting quickly, and working flexibly in managing competing demands on your time. The post holder will need to have high calibre interpersonal and organisational skills and be comfortable working with a level of autonomy and in a context of ambiguity. Experience of managing budgets is essential.

Part-time working will also be considered for this post.
