The Postgraduate Medical Education Team at HEE is a fundamental part of the organisation, taking on the responsibility for the administrative support for recruitment, training, assessment and rotation of doctors in training across the whole of England, as well as sharing our expertise to support allied health professionals and the regional healthcare providers.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent administrative skills, work effectively using own initiative, have the ability to prioritise own workloads and take responsibility for the role, establish effective stakeholder relationships, work to tight deadlines together with effective team working and communication skills.

The Programme Support Administrator will provide effective and efficient administrative support to a defined area of Programme Support, working within one of the three local offices in the Yorkshire and the Humber Programme Support function. The role will require a degree of flexibility to facilitate the need for cross team and cross specialty working when required. Some travel to other local offices will be required. 

The Administrator is responsible for:

  • Working as part of a dynamic team to support the implementation of specific workstreams and team functions
  • Supporting the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service, including secretariat for meetings

The post-holder will work closely with clinical faculty (e.g. Heads of Schools, Training Programme Directors),  Business Managers, local education providers, Colleges and other external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of consistent services within Programme Management, as aligned to HEE Standard Operating Procedures.
