The post holder will provide the strategic interface between HEE’s HR & OD Service and senior management teams within the organisation and support the delivery of a comprehensive, professional, high quality and cost effective HR service within their designated region. They will build and vigorously maintain effective relationships with the business so as to fully understand their needs and support HEE in developing a culture which encourages high performance.
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will hold line management responsibility for the regional HR team and be fully accountable for all elements of the regional HR&OD service. They will also take the lead for designated national HR/OD initiatives with the expectation that they will work closely with OD Programme leads to facilitate their design and implementation across the whole organisation.
They will work closely with and align themselves to regional senior management teams and be recognised as the trusted adviser and lead contact for all strategic people and staffing issues. Providing a professional, specialist and comprehensive advice and support service will be key to success.
The successful candidate will have a track record of providing innovative solutions that support the development of an organisation and in the identifying workforce issues and supporting major change programmes. You will be dynamic and forward thinking in your approach. You will be a qualified HR professional with significant experience of working in a senior role in a fast paced organisation. Above all we are looking for individuals who wish to make a difference and a real impact to HEE and the NHS in offering excellent patient care
The HRBP will report to the Head of HR&OD and will work closely with their regional HR Manager, to support the delivery of an excellent, efficient and effective HR service, ensuring that good practice is shared across HEE.
The HRBP will be expected to be travel regularly across all HEE sites within their region and attend national meetings as required. They should be flexible in their duties and will be required to undertake duties outside of this role specification from time to time as required.

- HR Business Partner within our Midlands and East region (base must be one of Leicester, Birmingham or Cambridge)
- HR Business Partners for our national functions (we are interested in applications from those able to be based in either Leeds or London)
These posts are offered under NHS terms and conditions (Band 8a) on a permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week.
