HEE supports the delivery of high quality care for patients and high quality public health services by ensuring that the health workforce has the right skills, behaviours and training, and that health care staff are available in the right numbers to meet the needs of the public. It takes on leadership and oversight of healthcare workforce planning and will also be responsible for supporting and authorising Local Education and Training boards. HEE will maintain an effective system for professional education and training as part of a comprehensive health service.
About the role:
We are looking for a Stakeholder & Engagement Officer to support and facilitate effective internal and external engagement with a wide range of health and care stakeholders to promote the work of the NHS Leadership Academy National and Local work-streams. The role of the Local Academies is to work closely with health and care organisations to co-design effective leadership and OD interventions and to ensure the maximum levels of awareness for the circa 400,000 staff who work across health and care in the Thames Valley and Kent Surrey, and Sussex area. This role will involve being an ambassador for the NHS Leadership Academy at events and also ensuring that all media, social, print and electronic is reputationally enhancing, appropriately branded and has a compelling narrative about the work we do.
The role is practical and also strategic as you will need to help devise, implement and evaluate special projects to support the communication, social media and business strategy including working with our membership Boards and Reference Groups. You will ensure that we identify, categorise and appropriately communicate with the various stakeholders we have, create a clear and action orientated stakeholder engagement strategy and work with colleagues in other Local Teams and the National Team to ensure that awareness of the work of the NHS Leadership Academy, nationally and locally is as high as it can be.
You will have excellent verbal and written skills as you will be expected to create or amend copy and well versed in utilising the full potential of social media as an engagement tool.
This role can be based in our HEE Winchester Office or in Crawley.
